Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul: An Invitation to Our Lenten Journey
As we step into the sacred season of Lent, we invite you to join us on Ash Wednesday, March 5, at noon for a time of reflection, renewal, and blessing. This season, we will journey through two powerful themes:
"Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul" – a midweek devotional series inspired by the wisdom of John Philip Newell and the rich spiritual heritage of Celtic Christianity
"Steadfast Love" – our Sunday worship series exploring God’s unwavering presence in our lives
Celtic spirituality teaches that God’s presence is not distant but woven into the fabric of creation. The dust of the earth, the rhythm of the tides, the quiet whispers of the wind—these all speak of the divine. On Ash Wednesday, we receive the ashes as a sign of our connection to both the earth and the eternal, hearing the words:
"Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
Yet, this dust is sacred—it holds the promise of life, renewal, and love.
During Lent, our midweek devotions will guide us in rediscovering the sacred in our daily lives, while our Sunday worship will invite us to rest in the depth of God's steadfast love.
We invite you to begin this sacred journey with us.
