Love, Joy, Peace...
A Tangible (and Delicious) Way to Stand Together
Our call to live out this faith takes a practical turn as we approach the first week of February. We are all invited to support the WSWA’s annual Tamale Fundraiser, which culminates on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8th. This effort directly supports the WSWA’s vital 11-Point Benefit Program, providing resources for emergency food, legal aid, and dental care for those in our community who need it most.
How you can "be the church" this month:
Volunteer for Prep: Join hands with neighbors from February 4–7 to help with the tamale preparation. No experience is necessary—just a willing heart (and perhaps a pair of comfortable shoes). Place Your Orders: Make your Super Bowl gathering a movement of hope by ordering tamales for your game-day feast.

Spread the Word:
Help us turn this fundraiser into a powerful act of mutual aid by inviting friends and family to participate. By working alongside the WSWA, we prove that our church is a living movement of dignity and economic justice. Let’s make this Super Bowl Sunday about more than just the game—let's make it about the "One Thing" that matters: standing with our neighbors.
